The
ELCAN SpecterDR
and the L-3 Warrior Systems LTWS (Light Thermal Weapon Sight)
AN/PAS-13G are a great combination! Both units
stand apart from the crowd by themselves, but what you get when
you put them together is nothing short of fantastic. As shown below, you
have the DFOV14 in both 1X and 4x Magnification and the LTWS set in both
White Hot and Black Hot polarity. Additional adjustments can be made to
further enhance your image, such as Brightness & Contrast of the Thermal,
Digital Magnification of the Thermal Image, and either Red Dot or Full
Reticle Illumination of the DFOV sight. Look at the images below to see the
various ways you can set your image up and you'll see what "Top-of-the-Line"
means.
The L-3 Insight’s LWTS is a handheld and weapon-mounted thermal weapon sight. The thermal imaging capability of the LWTS allows for long wave infrared observation and target identification under adverse conditions including light rain, smoke, light snow, and low light to total darkness. The LWTS utilizes leading edge 17 micron technology in a 640 x 480 uncooled micro bolometer. The high resolution display, combined with state of the art image processing and electronics provide exceptional imagery and long mission run times on a single battery load.

Another great L-3 Clip-On is the CNVD-T. The advanced design of the CNVD-T (Military Nomenclature SU-232/PAS) eliminates the typical requirement of removing a primary (day) sighting system since the CNVD-T mounts directly in line with a standard day optical sight. Combining day and night vision sights eliminates the need to re-zero your weapon every time you change-out sights, since the primary sight remains undisturbed.
With the the SpecterDR™ Dual Fields-of-View (DFOV) sight provides both close quarter and precision fire ranged capability in a single package. Whether utilizing the Red Dot in 1x or 1.5x magnification or the ranging reticle in 4x or 6x mode, the SpecterDR™ DFOV sight provides ultra-wide viewing angles for optimal situational awareness and unmatched low-light performance. The SpecterDR™ DFOV sight allows the user to safely and effectively transition in and out of building for close quarter or extended range without changing sights. The 1x or 1.5x FOV provides a generous viewing angle (24° in the 1-4x and 16° in the 1.5-6x version) and an extremely fast, "both eyes open" target acquisition capability. The second FOV provides 4x or 6x magnified sight (FOV 6° & 4° respectively), a range compensating reticle, long-range target identification and precision marksmanship capability. The two unique fields-of-view are easily and quickly interchanged by means of the patent-pending, locking lever mechanism on the side of the optical housing.
